Environment
Energy environmental priorities: 
The success of integrated water resources management practices critically depends on the capacities of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for effective policy design and implementation. Art. 105. The issue of ensuring efficiency of water control and pollution protection measures is especially pertinent.
Energy-water nexus: 
Chapter 19 considers in details the issues of water use for industrial purposes and thermal power generation. Under art. 103, industrial and thermal power plants shall have water recirculation systems. ---As provided by art. 103.4, in mining processes, underground waters posing danger to human health or the environment shall be disposed. --- Art. 104. Provisions of the policy document widely and vigorously apply to hydropower generation. Understanding the interlinkages between energy, water, disaster risk reduction, industrial development and protection of the environment shall be given due consideration in elaboration of the national agenda on water.
