Overall Summary: 
Action Plan on Belt and Road Standard Connectivity (2018-2020) (the Action Plan) was issued by the National Development and Reform Commission. This Action Plan highlights just how the goals set out in the Visions and Actions on Jointly Building the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road are to be achieved. Overall, the initiative has been designed to simplify investment and trade procedures, improve standards to an international level and support the construction of greater connectivity. It also aims to promote the wider adoption of China’s technical standards in the near term, as well as improving related policies and measures in a bid to boost greater co-operation in production and equipment manufacturing with third party nations.

Cooperation in all fields of standardization, including finance, energy, environment, and poverty reduction practices, to promote standardization strategies, policies, measures, and projects.
