OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Sub: Guidelines of Scheme for Faster Adoption and. Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles India ( FAME India) - Name of States, UTs where scheme is applicable in entire Geographical limits of the State and Name of the States where scheme is applicable in selected Districts/Cities - regarding.

The undersigned is directed to refer to Gazette Notification S.0. 830(E) dated 25th March, 201 5 wherein Scheme Guidelines for Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India - FAME India were published. As per para 7 of the Scheme Guidelines notified under Gazette Notification S.O. f;l30(E) dated 25th March, 2015, the first phase of the Scheme was restricted to the following select areas:

Cities under "Smart Cities" initiatives
Major metro agglomerations - Delhi NCR, Greater Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengal uru , Hyderabad, Ahmedabad.
All State Capitals and other Urban Agglomerations / Cities with 1 Million+ population (as per 2011 census)
Cities of the North Eastern States

2. Now, in pursuance of para 7 of the Scheme Guidelines notified under Gazette Notific at ion S.O. 8 30 (E) dated 25th March, 201 5, the list of States, Cities and Districts where FAME India Scheme will be applicable as per FAME India Notification dated 25 th March 201 5, is given as under:

In addition to the ab ove, all "Smart Cities" to be notified by Ministry of Urban Development / GOI, from time to time, would be applicable for coverage under the FAME India Scheme.
