GAS ACT (CHAPTER 116A)

^{_{GAS (SUPPLY) (AMENDMENT)}}

^{_{REGULATIONS 2016}}

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 96 of the Gas Act, the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry (Industry), makes the following Regulations:

^{_{Citation and commencement}}

1. These Regulations are the Gas (Supply) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into operation on 1 July 2016.

^{_{Amendment of regulation 2}}

2. Regulation 2(1) of the Gas (Supply) Regulations (Rg 1) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —

(a)   by deleting the words “Singapore Standard CP 51” in the definition of “leak free” and substituting the words “Singapore Standard SS 608:2015”; and

(b)   by deleting the definition of “Singapore Standard CP 51” and substituting the following definition:

““Singapore Standard SS 608:2015” means the Singapore Standard SS 608 published on 3 December 2015 by the Standards,

Productivity and Innovation Board;”.

3. Regulation 9 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Singapore Standard CP 51, or with such other standards or codes of practice as the Authority may require” and substituting the words “Singapore Standard SS 608:2015”.                                  

^{_{Amendment of regulation 22}}

4. Regulation 22(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Singapore Standard CP 51” and substituting the words “Singapore Standard SS 608:2015”.
