Overall Summary: 
The Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) entered into force on 1 January 2018 replaced the Custom Code of the Customs Union acting from mid-2010. The new Code legally establishes a possibility for a foreign trade operator to perform most operations from their computers via the Internet with a digital signature, interacting with the information system of the customs authority. The Code establishes legislative opportunities for the full implementation of the “single window” mechanism in the system of regulation of foreign economic activities, which is also being worked on now in the EAEU.
