Domestic Tariff
The regulated domestic tariff set by the Commerce Commission is 34.01 cents/units.
Domestic customers who consume Less than or equal to (<=) 100 kWh per month, with Combined household income Less than or equal to (<=) $30,000.00 per annum,. This Tariff only applies if customer has registered, and qualifies for new government subsidy. Customers who do not qualify pay the full rate. Customers who qualify will be subsidized for the first 100 units of consumption.
Effective from the 1st of April 2020, 16.34 cents per unit will be subsised by the Government and EFL will discount 17.67 cents per unit. This only applies for the first 100 units consumed in a month and only for registered subsidy customers.
