Revised Monthly Electricity Subsidy 

As per the Government’s Budget 2017/2018 announcement, Government has restructured the way in which the electricity subsidy will be applied. All households with a combine annual income below $30,000 will be eligible for subsidy for the first 100 kilowatt hours of electricity usage per month. The Units above 100kWh will be charged the full tariff. 

This new subsidy will be applicable from the 1^stof August, 2017.

As indicated above the subsidy will only be applicable to domestic customers who meet the following criteria: Combined household income of $30,000 or less per annum.  

If you do meet the above requirement then you are requested to visit the nearest FEA Customer Service Centre with the following documents in order to register so that you could start receiving the electricity subsidy from 1^stAugust 2017: 

1. TIN Cardor a TIN Letter & a photo ID. (This is mandatory). 
2. For those employed, a recent salary slip stamped by the employer. If you are not employed, the statutory declaration needs to state this. 
3. Birth Certificate. 

The following forms are available at our Customer Service Centre and will need to be filled and submitted with the requirements above: 

1. Statutory declaration form to be filled by all customers. Ensure that the Statutory Declaration is signed and stamped by a registered JP/Legal officer/District Officer or Provincial Officer. This declaration must also state the combined household income. 
2. Subsidy registration form.
