NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 18th March, 2015

S.O. 782(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 of the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Second Ordinance, 2014 (7 of 2014), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Rules, 2014, namely :—

(1) These rules may be called the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Amendment Rules, 2015.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

In the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Rules, 2014, in rule 11, after sub-rule (9), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:—

“(10) The Central Government may in public interest and for the reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of this rule for the allotment of a Schedule I coal mine to a Central Government company or corporation.”
