The National Comprehensive Science Plan defines strategic directions and priorities in the field of science and technology. The Plan aims to facilitate the development of new and renewable sources of energy and know-how and to build power plants in the country using sources such as wind, solar energy, fuel cells and geothermal energy. This will be achieved through investment in research and technology in the production of power based on solar and wind energy sources; the allocation of a growing share of research budget in the field of renewable energy; and the establishment and implementation of the renewable pilot projects.
