Overall Summary: 
The Overview of the Act on the Securing of Safety and the Optimization of Transaction of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (The LPG Act) (Act No. 149 of 1967) stipulates the ordinance with regards to the sale of LPG to General Consumers, etc., sales locations, and the Safety Operations thereof. Although related to LPG, matters such as LPG terminals and filling plants, storage tanks for consumption, structural standards for containers, and distribution (transport) of containers are regulated by the High Pressure Gas Safety Act.
