The Kiribati Cooking for Life (CFL) Strategy is a five-year strategic plan to guide the Energy Planning Unit (EPU) of the Ministry of Works and Public Utilities (MWPU) and its stakeholders in the promotion of cleaner and efficient cooking fuel and technology in Kiribati. The CFL strategy aims to demonstrate that energy efficiency and conservation in cooking can contribute to saving cooking fuels. The CFL strategy is indirectly contributing to the outcome of the Kiribati National Development Strategy and to the implementation of the Kiribati National Energy Policy (KNEP).

Clean cooking solutions: 
The strategy aim is to provide solutions to these challenges with the intention of meeting the targets on increasing LPG use and ICS to 50% of households by 2015 and 75% by 2020 respectively.
