NOTICE

Electricité du Cambodge (EDC) has the honor to inform the public that in accordance with the policy to promote equitable rural electrification coverage by facilitating the population's access to electricity at affordable price for economic, social and household uses, thus contributing to poverty reduction, and to promote and encourage private sector to participate in providing sustainable rural electrification services; EDC has continuously provided grant to the Department of Rural Electrification Fund of EDC (hereinafter referred to as the "REF") in order to continuously implement "Power to the ID Poor Households (HHS) Program". This program is on-going program from 2017 and will also be implemented in 2020. The purpose of this program is to facilitate the ID Poor HHS (the eligible beneficiary) in rural areas to have access to electricity for their houses from grid supply by providing subsidy of $100 per eligible ID poor household through the electricity suppliers to meet (i) - costs of materials and labor for the installation of wires for service line from the connection point to its house, and (ii) - costs of materials and labor for the installation of in-house wiring.
