Overall Summary: 
The National Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) 2019-2028 (ESDM Decision No. 39 K/20/MEM/2019) sets out a business plan of the state-owned National Electricity Company (Perusahaan Listrik Negara) (PLN) for ten years (2019-2028) in terms of electricity development in Indonesia. The RUPTL provides projections relating to electricity demand growth, energy mix, infrastructure and available investment sectors for Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
Renewable Energy
RE targets: 
By 2028, renewables namely hydro/mini-hydro power plants are allocated the largest portion with 9.7GW, followed by geothermal power plants, projected at 4.6 GW. The use of rooftop solar photovoltaic is projected at 3.2 GW.
Energy Supply and Infrastructure
Energy supply priorities: 
IPPs are allocated power projects to deliver a total of 33,666 MW, while state-owned PLN is slated to build power plants delivering approximately 16,243 MW.
Energy mix: 
By 2028, coal is projected to account for 54% of Indonesia’s electricity production, renewables 23%, gas 22% and fuel the balance.
