This Addendum shall be read in conjunction with the BCA Green Mark Certification Standard for New Buildings and shall form part of the Certification Standard. In particular, the purpose of the amendments is to allow alternative scoring methodology for meeting the criteria under ‘RB 1-2 Dwelling Unit Indoor Comfort’.
Governance
National policy structure: 
The intent of this Certification Standard for New Buildings (referred to as “this Standard”) is to establish environmentally friendly practices for the planning, design and construction of buildings, which would help to mitigate the environmental impact of built structures. This Standard sets out the requirement for assessing the environmental performance of a building development. This Standard is not intended to abridge safety, health, environmental or related requirements contained in other applicable laws, codes or policies administered by relevant authorities. Where there is a conflict between a requirement of this Standard and such other laws affecting the design and construction of the building, precedence shall be determined by the relevant authorities. --- (1) Purpose of amendments The purpose of the amendments is to allow alternative scoring methodology for meeting the criteria under ‘RB 1-2 Naturally Ventilated Design and Air-Conditioning System’.
