Overall Summary:
The Concept of the Digital Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan is based on the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 and represents a common vision of the use of modern digital technologies in order to achieve the long-term development of Tajikistan. One of the Concept's priorities is digitalization of projects in the energy industry in order to achieve the overall energy security of the country.
Efficiency
EE priorities:
87. In order to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy losses, it is planned to introduce intelligent energy management systems and energy saving technologies. This will ensure the interaction of the consumer with the energy system, in particular, be able to choose tariffs, manage their own electricity consumption, generate electricity to the grid using their own renewable energy sources and sell electricity.
Technology
Clean energy technology priorities:
86. The development of the electric power industry and its digitalization will have a cascading effect on the growth of all sectors of the economy, primarily the industry of the Republic of Tajikistan. The target state of the electric power industry is characterized by further intellectualization of power systems (Smart Grid). [...] The introduction of a complete metering of consumed and produced energy, the so-called Smart metering system, and in the future automatic processing of Big Data will allow systematizing demand management (Demand Response), including by improving the tariff policy for end consumers.
