RE action plans: 
The Cook Islands has embarked on an ambitious renewable energy program since 2012 with the goal of providing affordable, reliable and sustainable energy to power our future. --- The Government will also explore other opportunities to maximise the benefits of its renewable energy investments and further reduce carbon emissions. These include low carbon transport options to directly lower emissions and the use of smart meter technology to improve the efficiency of electricity use.
