2030 conditional mitigation targets. Sector: Energy efficiency. Mitigation measure (2020-2030): 10% reduction of final energy consumption compared to business-as-usual scenario.
Renewable Energy
RE targets:
Total target installed hydropower capacity in the country by 2030 is set at 13 GW, by applying an 80% probability ratio to the 2030 anticipated installed capacity in Ministry of Energy & Mines’ 2016-2030 Power Development Plan. --- 2030 conditional mitigation targets. Sector: Energy, Other renewables. Mitigation measure (2020-2030): SOLAR and WIND: 1 GW total installed capacity in the country. BIOMASS: 300 MW total installed capacity in the country. Sector: Transport. Mitigation measure (2020-2030): 30% Electric Vehicles penetration for 2-wheelers and passengers' cars in national vehicles mix. Biofuels to meet 10% of transport fuels.
RE action plans:
In the energy sector, mainly three sub-sectors, hydropower, energy efficiency and transport, are mobilized to contribute to the mitigation efforts.
