An act to repeal the Tonga Electric Power Board Act. This Act came into force on the same day as the Electricity Act 2007.

National policy structure: 
2. (1) The Tonga Electric Power Board Act (CAP.93) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal under subsection (1) from and after the date of coming into operation of this Act – (a) any licence granted under the Tonga Electric Power Board Act (CAP. 93) shall continue to be valid on such terms and conditions of approval for the period stipulated therein; and (b) all regulations and bylaws made under the Tonga Electric Power Board Act (CAP. 93) and in force at the date of commencement of this Act shall continue until such time as new regulations or bylaws are made under this Act.
