The Public Law No 35-145 of 2021 to add a new § 67101.7 to chapter 67 of Title 21, Guam Code Annotated, relative to adopting the 2017 Guam Tropical Energy Code (GTEC); to renumber the existing §§ 67101.7 and 67101.8 of Chapter 67, Title 21, Guam Code Annotated; and to amend relevant sections of locally adopted Building Codes.

National policy structure: 
It is therefore, the intent of I Liheslaturan Guahan to adopt the 2017 Guam Tropical Energy Code as approved by the GBCC on February 25, 2020 into law, attached as "Exhibit A" of this Act, and to provide a two (2)-year period before implementation in order to allow for a smooth transition.
