ENERGY CONSERVATION ACT (CHAPTER 92C)

ENERGY CONSERVATION (MOTOR VEHICLES SUBJECT TO FUEL ECONOMY REQUIREMENTS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Energy Conservation Act, the Minister for Transport, after consultation with the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Energy Conservation (Motor Vehicles Subject to Fuel Economy Requirements)(Amendment) Order 2018 and is deemed to have come into operation on 1 January 2018.

Amendment of paragraph 1

2. Paragraph 1 of the Energy Conservation (Motor Vehicles Subject to Fuel Economy Requirements) Order 2012 (G.N. No. S 309/2012) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “Fuel Economy”,

the words “and Vehicular Emissions”.

Amendment of paragraph 2

3. Paragraph 2 of the Energy Conservation (Motor Vehicles Subject to Fuel Economy Requirements) Order2012 is amended —

(a)        by inserting, immediately after the words “fuel economy” in sub‑paragraph (1), the words “andvehicular emissions”;

(b)       by deleting the words “1st July 2012” in sub‑paragraph (1) and substituting the words “1 January2018”; and

(c)       by inserting, immediately after the words “fuel economy” in the paragraph heading, the words“and vehicular emissions”.
