Bhutan Green Building Design Guidelines

The Bhutan Green Building Guidelines has been developed by the Ministry of Works and Human Settlements in line its strategies of positive design and construction in Bhutan that protects environmental conservation. The Bhutan Green Building Guidelines provides information, recommendations, and guidance to incorporate sustainable green principles into new design and construction of buildings in Bhutan. The Bhutan Green Building Guidelines will not be mandatory.

Provides guidelines for energy efficient design strategies, including passive solar, site adaptive design, building penetrations, thermal efficiency, building envelope design, passive solar heating, passive solar cooling, thermal storage, daylighting, outdoor lighting, materials, and renewable energy sources.
